Steven Temme
Concert and Collaborative Saxophonist
About
Steven Temme works as a saxophonist in myriad projects that have taken him to concert halls, clubs, and creative venues. He has played as an orchestral saxophonist with The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, The National Symphony Orchestra, and The Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra at venues like Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall in London during the BBC Proms, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Edinburgh International Festival, the National Concert Hall in Dublin, the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Kimmel Center. Steven also performs as a concert soloist with orchestras and bands including solo performances with The Delaware Symphony Orchestra, The Stamford Symphony Orchestra, The United States Marine Band and Chamber Orchestra, and the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony. He collaborates with indie-chamber-electronic composer Ryan Lott, recording with his project, Son Lux, on several albums and an appearance on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series. Steven sees value in the standard repertoire both as a teacher and performer, enjoys the creation of new works, and desires to give life to works after their premier.
